to be fair i prefered all the threads in the Game discussions, was easier to scroll that one forum to see what's happening. Although organisation is good but wouldn't it be better to make a sub forum off the main game discussion rather than put it where it is now?
Have each event there own sub forum and then have a archives area for older event forums. Just a thought. As i said before though i do prefer the one forum for all discussion. :)
I guess what bothers me is that the criteria for what goes into this board versus the normal game discussion board is not clear at all. I think you could keep this board as an archive of factual data (not opinion pieces). There is plenty of opinion in the normal board, and it should stay there. If this board is a data archive the criteria for contents would be clear.
That being said, I don't think there is much in the way of useful factual data beyond the historical post mortems, Toot-toots boss creep thread, and maybe 3 other things. I would move out anything to do with deck building/strats, and certainly anything to do with "i'm quitting" posts or boycotts. I would leave the rambling "episode threads" out. I might also suggest not allowing non-admins to start new threads in here.
With regards to things like "cube farming 101" or other handy noob references, I don't think a board is needed. A FAQ off the main wiki pages might be better, but all noobs get up to speed fairly quickly right now, and as events progress the tips morph over time anyways making the outdated. I read a FAQ last week suggesting I "cheer loop" my allies to get as many free medals as possible. Pretty sure that doesn't work anymore! LOL
but... I'm not volunteering to be the forums architect so, whatevs! :)
yup, as predicted.
"live" threads should be in the main "Game Discussion", and this board should be kept to archive closed threads, more or less, IMO

My point exactly.
okay, but perhaps they should remain open though, I have a few most-mortems waiting to be filled out.
they're always open, I don't think we can "close" threads can we?
