  • Does anyone know how this is calculated? I've been playing around with the Autobot deck attempting to figure out the math, but I'm either unaware of the complete calculation formula or I'm way overcomplicating it.

    • Last summer, a bunch of us here tried to crack the DP formula. We encountered so many oddities (particularly on the lower end of the DP spectrum) that we stopped trying. There are a lot of moving parts in it (27 inputs at the least, 9 bots x 3 stats per bot); we can assume those inputs come from the numbers on the cards when you go to the initial Team Edit screen. And we suspect the square root of the Defense is involved, though that may have changed (or not, we know about the code monkeys LOL) since the damage formula was updated; it may be logarithm-based now.

    • Well, that's disappointing. I appreciate the swift response, GoC. The thrust of my efforts was an attempt to figure out how the cards used with Enemy Waves in the Campaign translated to the "Recommended Deck Power" numbers Mobage has assigned to each level/zone.

    • It is also important to note that there has been a track record of recommended dp being neither the highest obtainable nor corresponding to the best deck for the situation. So really, dp is just a really rough estimate despite all its complexity.

      Unfortunately, it doesn't. Because mobage. The "game team" is probably one part time contracted person that changes constantly. So they have no idea and are overworked. We STILL have the wrong boss icons on the hard level from when they used to start at H05. You will always fight autobot waves (with doubles.. Clones?!?), regardless of how much sense it makes or not.

      Incredibly lazy from an outside perspective.

      Just make sure you have high enough hp in the soldier row to survive the first attack and return fire. That will make the biggest difference.

    • I think that the app framework for event is made by main dev team, and events are filled by monkeys, since they fuck up typos, images at wrong places and overall small bullshit.

      So big team is free to work on other projects, and small event team is in charge of events, that's why events are pushed out fast, but every fix takes hours/days to go up, since fixing stuff is main devs territory.

      Speaking of Monkeys.....Motormaster [2[  is about on par w Blurr [3] of Bumlebee [6] with maxed/evolved total AHD of 204.

    • Yes, for everything except chains and EC.

      Once you make it to your one-cube limit, keep running that level using only your regenerated energon. You will (slowly) recover BC via hourly recharges and level recharges (if applicable). If you don't throw nets at anything, you will always be up nets.

      As an example, this episode I am farming H10. While I have lost about 35 EC (most of them spent getting to H10 because I'm impatient), I'm up around 200 BC and 200 nets (I didn't throw nets at mobs until H10 at Slag, who returns one for defeat, and Bumblebee, who returns 3 BC for capture).

    • Yeah, just realised and noticed that even though these evolve cards have like the highest evolve stats so far, which got me excited and thought T2 isn't so bad, they're junk compared to everything else and the massive buff mtm's have received. There's no point for me spending any resource at all to gain points, I'm powering down. Netted one motormaster so far, there's no point completing it.

      I wonder if people know how worthless their T2 reward is. Once again, campaign is T1 or bust, mobage squarely giving the middle finger to all but the highest 100 payers.. I mean players.

      H2 seems ok.

      Because that would be too sensible for Mobage. Either that, or they wanted to change the amount and added it as a separate item rather than replacing it. Does anyone know what it was last time?

    • For farming, H2 isn't a bad place to settle in.  That Ramjet boss gives 3 bc on defeat, not on capture. I'm not going to make it into that lucrative T3, but my goal was to farm bc without using too much energon so this seems to be a good wave to do runs on.

    • @dutchrits. Recommended dp is not always the right option. Play around with the weapons. Mobage will usually pick the right bots but not always the right weapons. If we ever get another pvp event look at your lvl 3 weapons ;)

      Thanks Kat.  ;) My problem is that I'm never satisfied with a game...I'm always looking to improve upon it.

      Still, that's an interesting tidbit Meierneal mentioned. I'd often thought that Mobage had gotten lazy in assigning abilities to weapons, with many of the abilities for Lvl3 weapons not used (Like Superiority and such). I hadn't considered equipping those weapons on my crop of URs now, mainly due to the dropoff in overall DPS/Health/Def. This sounds ripe for a "Tactics Discussion."

      It was from the Master Builders event (finished around 5th of dec), the T3 reward was an R2 (2!!!) acid storm and an R3 episode Acid Storm weapon (from an oooolllddd episode). Tried emailing them about it, didn't get anywhere.. they sent me a second level 2 acid storm, gee thanks.

    • That wasn't Master Builders but probably one of the PVPs before that. That was when they had the episode Acid Storm card with the weapon that had double crits during the episode. I remember being puzzled as to why those Acid Storm cards were considered "prizes."

      Yeah, I was going to say, I played Master Builders and I don't remember that. Too bad I didn't play which ever episode that was, I would have not minded gettin that weapon. To be honest though, I probably wouldn't have gotten T3 so it really doesn't matter.

    • the acid storm weapon goc is talkin about was only double crit for that event  and a space bridge purchase and acid storm was the ruby prize there was 2 different acid storms in that event @andrewds1021

    • They mistakenly gave away the weapon as a tier 3 prize in master builders with an R2 acid storm.

      It was when campaign started giving away old elites. Whoever programmed it must have thought acid storm (1) was an elite and didn't realise it was an old episode card, and also didn't realise Acid Storm (0) was an R2.

      If you didn't do sell all etc on your R3 weps then you will still have it.

      I emailed mobage about it. I can't remember if I posted complaining about it, but I did change my leader to acid storm during the following PvP as a protest/joke and mentioned that on the forums :p

    • Still, that is probably the only time Mobage will reintroduce episode cards whether they are obsolete or not. Also, I'm assuming you mean the regular acid storm when you write acid storm (0).
