Okay, first I've got to give credit where credit is due. Good job, Mobage, for FINALLY changing up the campaign encounters. No more do we have Decepticon bosses preceded by Autobot mob encounters. You even went so far as to include more of Soundwave's tapes in the mob encounters (well, Buzzsaw, Decepticon Frenzy, Decepticon Rumble, and Laserbeak (1) at least).
That said.
Point #1) With respect to the campaign mob encounters, this event practically writes itself. Pair up Decepticons with Soundwave and his cassettes. Done. Easy, right? And obvious! You've even got EIGHT DIFFERENT OPTIONS amongst the Decepticon cassettes to chose from. So with that said, why were Overkill, Slugfest, Ratbat, and Ravage (1) not included in this event? What's more, why did Soundwave (1) and Soundwave (2) not appear as bosses, particularly in the Hard Campaign?
Point #2) I mentioned it before, but I'll say it again: WHY are there "clone" mobs in the campaign encounters? You have more than enough options for characters that you don't need to have TWO Long Haul s, or two Ramjet (1). And you certainly don't need a confusing team makeup, like Rumble (A), Frenzy (A), and Thrust (A).
Solutions: Imagine how cool it would have looked to have the Common (C) cards grouped as a "team" (Overkill, Slugfest, Ratbat) in both the Easy and Medium campaigns, followed by the Uncommon (UC) cards (Buzzsaw, Decepticon Frenzy, Decepticon Rumble) teamed on Medium/Hard. You could then swap in the Rare (R) cards (Laserbeak (1), Ravage (1), and Soundwave (1) ) to change up the compositions and increase the difficulties, followed by pairing the three of them up on Hard 9/10. Finally, you could have put in Trans-Scanned and/or MTM'd versions of ALL of them in the Hard Campaign to really change things up rather than simply manipulating the stats of the C/UC/R cards.
Now for the truly innovative approach: add previous event versions of the characters as boss cards! Decepticon Frenzy (2)...Decepticon Rumble (2)...Ratbat (1)...Evolve Soundwave or even Soundwave (5)...NONE of them would be game-busting and would actually inspire players to spend MORE Capture Chains to capture them! This REALLY is a win-win for you, Mobage. Campaign events are the PERFECT venue to throw a bone to new players, collectors, and even spice things up for the hardcore players. ESPECIALLY when you have already turned the Med/Hard bosses into nerfed Ultra Rares (UR).
Now, if you REALLY wanted to earn some serious credibility with the fan base, you'd take the suggestions I made here. Not only would it make the C/UC/R cards make more sense, but it would GREATLY expand your options for future Campaign Event team compositions.
You've taken a significant step, Mobage, and for that I applaud you. But it still looks half-a$$ed. Put just a smidgen more effort into the details and believe me it will be noticed. You can even use the suggestions from the post I linked to for inspiration.
